Devin McCourty shares story of Tom Brady’s unreal work ethic with Patriots

Even against his teammates, Tom Brady showed no mercy.

Tom Brady has an insane work ethic. There’s nothing else to say about it and his continued NFL career at the age of 42-years-old is a testament to it.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is known for not only outworking players on the field, but outworking them in the film room. He’s a player who constantly studies film and learns the nuances of all teams he’s playing against.

Devin McCourty shared a story of Brady’s love for film and how he even had that same passion against teammates in practice.

“I want to say back in 2014 or ’15, we played somebody that weekend. Tom threw an interception in practice on Friday to Rashaan Melvin, whose locker was right by mine, and threw an interception in the red area,” McCourty said. “We was towards the end of practice. The next day, Tom came in and he goes to Mel and he’s like, ‘Man, because of you, I had to watch 109 plays last night on the red area to make sure I can get that ball in there. I remember I turned my head like, ‘Bro, you watched 109 — like, how?””

Brady’s work ethic helped land six Super Bowl titles and countless accolades over his two decades in New England.
