Details of Jamal Adams’ contract with Titans revealed

The contract details for the Titans’ deal with safety Jamal Adams dropped on Friday morning.

When news broke of the Tennessee Titans‘ signing of veteran safety Jamal Adams, it was reported to be a one-year deal but we did not get the financial terms of the contract.

But now we have them — according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, Adams inked a one-year deal worth the veteran minimum of $1.125 million guaranteed.

The Titans getting Adams for that cheap comes as no surprise. After all, the 28-year-old has seen a steep decline from his status as an elite safety in recent years, partly due to injury, and figured to get a “prove it” deal.

While Adams wasn’t our first choice, he’s still a solid signing for the Titans, who had a need at safety. This is the very definition of a low-risk, high-reward deal.

Adams will begin the journey of trying to get his career back on track when he and the Titans take part in training camp later this month.
