Details emerge surrounding what Ravens reportedly offered Rams ILB Bobby Wagner

Details have come out about what the Ravens reportedly offered Los Angeles Rams inside linebacker Bobby Wagner in free agency

The Baltimore Ravens were very active during the early part of 2022 free agency, signing safety Marcus Williams, offensive lineman Morgan Moses, and defensive lineman Michael Pierce. They also had a reported agreement in place with outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith before he spurned Baltimore for the Minnesota Vikings.

Despite not being nearly as involved recently, the team is still trying to bring in talented free agents to improve their roster. One of those was inside linebacker Bobby Wagner, who opted to sign with the Los Angeles Rams instead. On Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Ravens actually offered Wagner more money over the first two years of a deal than Los Angeles did.

Instead of take Baltimore’s offer, Wagner chose to return home and play in Los Angeles, where he instead took a five-year, $50 million deal from the Rams that can be worth up to $65 million. The Ravens seemed like they were ready to commit to Wagner if he was, but it just didn’t work out the way many in Baltimore had hoped.
