The Buffalo Bills look to be getting a boost in their secondary.
That is, if Dane Jackson has his way.
The Bills released their final injury report ahead of facing the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4 on Friday. On it, Jackson was listed as questionable due to the neck injury he sustained in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.
Jackson was hit awkwardly and things looked bad. As it turned out, Jackson did not suffer long-term damage to his neck or head.
He did sit out Week 3’s loss to the Miami Dolphins, but Jackson was back on the practice field this week in a limited fashion.
Despite all that, Jackson told reporters on Friday that he plans to play in Baltimore.
Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott is one that loves to play gamesmanship. Because of that, it comes as little surprise the Bills aren’t fully giving away Jackson’s status.
The time we’ll most likely find out Jackson’s final designation will be 90 minutes before Sunday’s 1 p.m. kickoff. That’s when teams are mandated to release their inactives each game.
If Jackson is not found there, he’ll play.
However, the Bills might have let one slip between the cracks this time. During Friday’s practice, images surfaced on social media from Buffalo’s final workout of the week.
In the ones with Jackson, he was no longer wearing a red non-contact jersey. He was out there having a full practice, a positive step toward playing.
