Derrick Henry makes history

Former Alabama Heisman winning running back, Derrick Henry, is No. 1 in the history books after a strong performance against Jacksonville.

Former Alabama running back Derrick Henry has had quite an impact on the NFL and his team, the Tennessee Titans, as a running back with the unique combination of speed, power and agility.

Today, against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Henry carried the ball 26 times for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Such a stat line is impressive and rare. But Henry is no stranger to strong performances that include over 200 yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns.

In fact, he leads all running backs in NFL history in that category with four.

Today’s game allowed the 2015 Heisman trophy recipient to surpass legendary running backs Barry Sanders, Jim Brown and LaDainian Tomlinson, who had three such games in their careers.

With plenty of time left for Henry to play professional football, who knows what he has left in the tank.
