Denver Nuggets at Oklahoma City Thunder odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Denver Nuggets at Oklahoma City Thunder odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Denver Nuggets (19-18) travel to Paycom Center Sunday to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder (13-25). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Nuggets vs. Thunder odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Nuggets are 4-6 ATS over their last 10 games. With Nikola Jokic building upon his MVP campaign from a season ago, he should be able to once again have his way against a smaller OKC lineup.

OKC’s starting center for their matchup with the Wolves, one which they failed to cover, was 6-foot-9 forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. They do not have a dominant big man, and Jokic should abuse that.

That said, OKC has been among the best covering teams in the league this season at 24-14. They’re also 8-12 at home, so they play far better at Paycom Center.

Nuggets at Thunder odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nuggets 116, Thunder 108

Money line

PASS on the money line. -300 is too rich for the Nuggets. +230 for OKC is the only playable side, but I don’t like that much either given their size issues.

Against the spread

“LEAN” to the NUGGETS -6.5 (-115). The last time these two teams met, the score ended 108-94 in OKC’s favor.

Denver was down 22 at the start of the 4th. They’re the better team, and Jokic likely won’t repeat his measly 13-point effort. Denver has covered 3 of its last 5.

The Thunder rank last in points, field goal percentage and three-point field goal percentage. Having lost 3 straight all by 7 or more, the Thunder have struggled recently, and I’d rather bet that continues than changes.

Over/Under

BET on the OVER 213.5 (-115).

With this side getting the juice, it’s the one the sportsbooks think is more likely to hit as well. Both teams allow just over 106 points per game. The Nuggets rank 12th in true shooting percentage yet have a negative net rating.

Having topped 120 points in two of their last 4 games, the Nuggets have an elite offense. While the Thunder are just 15-13 on the O/U this season, they’re 4-4 in their last 8.
