Denver Broncos legend John Elway turns 60

Former Denver Broncos great John Elway celebrated his 60th birthday on June 28.

Hall of Fame quarterback and two-time Super Bowl winner John Elway turned 60 Sunday.

The great Denver Broncos quarterback was the first overall pick by the Baltimore Colts in the 1983 NFL Draft. He forced a trade and wound up a Bronco. Elway played his entire career in the Mile High City.

Elway played 16 seasons for the Broncos, throwing for 51,475 yds & 300 TD, earning 9 Pro Bowl selection & winning 2 Super Bowls. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004.

He currently is President of Football Operations/General Manager for the Denver Broncos.

The team paid tribute to its former great QB, who played college ball at Stanford.
