Denver Broncos depth chart prediction: Tight end

Which tight ends will make the Broncos’ 53-man roster?

TE4: Andrew Beck

Broncos offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur doesn’t use a fullback often but when he does, Beck can fill that role. He’s also a serviceable TE who was healthy for all 16 games last season.

TE5: Jeff Heuerman

Heuerman could beat out Beck for the last tight end spot if Denver doesn’t see any value in having a (type of) fullback on the roster. Heuerman has never been healthy for a full season though and his time with the Broncos might come to an end this summer.

TE6: Jake Butt

Butt has always had great potential but he is yet to prove he is able to stay healthy. With a strong showing in training camp and preseason, Butt could earn a spot on the roster (but we’re not optimistic that’s going to happen).

TE7: Troy Fumagalli

A former fifth-round pick, Fumagalli will face long odds in a crowded tight end competition. His health concerns hurt his chances of making the team.

TE8: Austin Fort

Fort is unlikely to make the 53-man roster but he will be a strong candidate to make the team’s practice squad.
