DeMarvion Overshown is preparing for the NFL draft after wrapping up his best season as a Longhorn.
Overshown played a massive role in turning around the Texas defense in 2022. He totaled 96 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and four sacks, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors for his efforts. Overshown also displayed strong leadership abilities as a two-year captain for the team.
Since moving to linebacker from the safety spot ahead of the 2020 season, Overshown has seen steady improvement each year. With a better grasp of the position since developing under Pete Kwiatkowski and Jeff Chaote, he is ready to take on the professional level.
NFL scouts are no doubt impressed with Overshown’s excellent frame and athletism at the linebacker position. Pro Football Focus ranks Overshown as their No. 5 linebacker prospect in the 2023 draft class.
