Deion Sanders says BJ Green II has first-round draft pick potential

According to Deion Sanders, BJ Green II has the ability to be a first-round NFL draft pick

Former Arizona State defensive lineman BJ Green II has turned plenty of heads since transferring to Colorado in January.

Along with drawing praise from Pro Football Hall of Famer and new CU graduate assistant Warren Sapp, the accomplished college edge rusher recently earned preseason All-Big 12 honors from the media. This past week, the hype grew even larger when Buffs head coach Deion Sanders tabbed Green as a potential first-round NFL draft pick.

Here’s what Coach Prime said about Green during Big 12 media days:

“BJ Green is already a leader,” Sanders said. “They raised him right at Arizona State and for him to come over now, it’s phenomenal. His work ethic, the way he approaches and attacks the game is phenomenal — his want, his will, his desire… We want four (draft picks) in the first round. The only way that’s going to happen is we win and they are dominant. I think BJ Green could be one of those guys, and I think he will be because he wants it that much.”

Green, a former walk-on at ASU, still has plenty to prove, but the widespread attention coming his way is well deserved. With the Sun Devils, he racked up 21 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks and one forced fumble in three seasons.
