Darren Uscher leaves UCLA for Oregon after Chip Kelly’s departure

Darren Uscher is headed back to Oregon.

The shuffling around the UCLA Bruins football program continues. On Thursday, Darren Uscher, who was recently hired, joined Oregon in a personnel and recruiting role, per Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.

Oregon is expected to add UCLA general manager Darren Uscher in a personnel and recruiting role, sources tell @247sports. Uscher, who worked at Oregon before heading to UCLA, was previously a lead recruiting figure at Auburn and Boise State.”

Uscher spent a brief time at UCLA before going back to Eugene, and there are a lot of changes taking place at UCLA after DeShaun Foster replaced Chip Kelly.

Ethan Young, UCLA’s Director of Player Personnel, and Sam Laz, UCLA’s Director of New Media, also left Westwood in a flurry of moves from the program.

The next step for UCLA is finding an offensive coordinator, and it will be interesting to see who Foster hires as the play-caller after Kelly left for Columbus.
