He entered the fight with a knee injury, which has kept him out of action since. The 29-year-old is 1-2 since moving up to 185 pounds in November 2019. He holds a victory to Kelvin Gastelum with his defeats coming against Brunson and former champion Robert Whittaker.
No. 7-ranked Hermansson, meanwhile, will look to rebound from a split-decision loss to Sean Strickland at UFC Fight Night 200 in February. The Swede has alternated wins and losses over his past six fights dating back to April 2019.
