Darren Till calls out Stephen Thompson, then realizes you can’t be angry at ‘Wonderboy’

Following some uncharacteristic shade from Stephen Thompson, Darren Till offered a rematch at middleweight – not really.

After [autotag]Stephen Thompson[/autotag] threw some uncharacteristic shade [autotag]Darren Till[/autotag]’s way, the Brit reacted in the way most might expect, by offering “Wonderboy” the chance to face him again.

Till narrowly edged Thompson in their 2018 fight in his hometown of Liverpool, where he missed weight by three pounds. That fact was brought up in a recent Twitter exchange between the pair as they engaged in a social media back-and-forth.

Thompson had previously expressed his frustration over the oblique kicks to the knee that Till employed throughout their fight that resulted in a torn MCL, and even suggested that the technique should be made illegal. He also stated that he thought he won that fight.

Those post-fight comments, plus the recent weight-miss shade, prompted Till to offer Thompson the chance to run back their matchup, this time at 185 pounds.

Happy Wednesday
Make sure when you are kicking the leg you are looking to kick the knee/just above it.
For maximum damage & for your opponent to whine & complain about it after the fight. @wonderboymma
You wanna go at MiddleWeight boy?

But if anyone thinks there’s legitimate bad blood between the pair, think again. Later in the day, perhaps realizing it’s virtually impossible to get angry with the uber-polite “Wonderboy,” Till returned to social media to clear the air.
