Darius Slay has had an eventful offseason, moving on from the Lions and joining the Eagles thanks to some very public trade demands, and then was very vocal about issues he had with Lions coach Matt Patricia on his way out the door.
The Pro Bowl cornerback is with the Eagles now, and in a livestream this week, he told fans that he was going to wear No. 24 this season in honor of his favorite of all time, Kobe Bryant.
Bryant, who passed away earlier this year in a helicopter crash, rooted for the Eagles, something Slay also noted on Twitter recently.
In the video, Slay said this season he would be going “Kobe mode.”

“I’m going Kobe mode. Black mamba. Rest in peace to the 🐐 One of my favorite players. I will look good in 24”
