Darius Slay takes yet another jab at Matt Patricia and the Lions

Darius Slay simply will not bury the hatchet.

Darius Slay may never stop shading Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia. The cornerback met with media members on Monday to discuss the Philadelphia Eagles’ training camp. But alas, he ended up indirectly criticizing the Lions, because clearly he couldn’t help himself.

Slay said that Eagles players “are treated like grown men,” via ESPN’s Tim McManus.

Though these remarks seem fairly benign, they trace back to a specific incident, with Patricia berating Slay at a team meeting for posting a photo of an opposing receiver on Instagram. “You just don’t disrespect somebody like that, definitely not a grown man,” Slay said on ESPN in March.

Clearly, Slay isn’t over it.

Patricia certainly rules with more of an iron fist than Eagles coach Doug Pederson, who is well-known as one of the biggest players coaches in the NFL. It seems Slay is enjoying the massive change of pace.
