In what was the wildest finish to the regular season, the Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night, 35-32, as Daniel Carlson kicked a field goal on the final play of overtime.
The Chargers were eliminated from a playoff position by the kick and the Raiders earned a spot. They will be the 5 seed in the AFC and face the Cincinnati Bengals on Super Wild-Card weekend on Saturday.
The result also earned a playoff spot for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who will play at Kansas City on Sunday night.
Carlson’s kick was good from 47 yards. It was his second of the extra period as both teams had earlier made field goals.
