Hey, remember that play pulled off by the Detroit Lions that iced a huge win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, in which 335-pound lineman Penei Sewell caught a ball to grab a key first down?
If you were praising head coach Dan Campbell for approving that one, you’re going to want to hear what he told Pat McAfee on Tuesday.
Campbell said he was watching fans do the wave around Ford Field, which distracted him from hearing the play call that would give the ball to the giant O-lineman.
His response as he saw Sewell grabbing a pass?
“What the [expletive] are we doing?”
LOL. Watch the whole story below (WARNING: NSFW language ahead!):
Dan Campbell was distracted by #Lions fans doing the wave that he couldn’t hear OC Ben Johnson calling a pass to Penei Sewell on 3rd-and-7.
"I look up and we're throwing to Penei and I was like, 'what the f*** are we doing?!?" 😂😂

He must be VERY happy that it worked out the way it did. Because if he had approved that call and it didn’t? I guess he’d blame the wave for being too distracting.
