Tennessee guard Dalton Knecht was named Southeastern Conference Player of the Year on Monday.
Zakai Zeigler also earned SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors, while Jonas Aidoo was named Second Team All-SEC for the Vols.
“I am thrilled for Dalton, Zakai and Jonas,” Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes said. “Each of them contributed significantly to our team winning the regular season championship in the best league in the country. All three are so deserving of these honors based off their excellent play throughout the year.”
No. 5 Tennessee (24-7, 14-4 SEC) will next play in the SEC Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee ahead of the NCAA Tournament.
