Dalton Bargo commits to Tennessee

Missouri transfer Dalton Bargo commits to Tennessee.

Missouri transfer catcher Dalton Bargo announced his commitment to Tennessee on Thursday.

“First of all, I would like to thank everyone at Mizzou for an amazing first year,” Bargo announced. “Furthermore, I am extremely excited to announce I will be continuing my academic and baseball career at the University of Tennessee! Go Vols.”

Bargo appeared in 50 games, including 45 starts, for the Tigers in 2023 as a freshman.

He recorded a .279 batting average, five home runs, 23 RBIs, 25 runs, six doubles, three triples and 19 walks in 2023.

Bargo is from Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska.

Bargo joins Tennessee after the Vols advanced to its second College World Series appearance in three years.
