Dallas Turner wasn’t expected to make an immediate impact for the Crimson Tide during his freshman season, but due to injury, he got his moment earlier than anticipated.
Turner finds himself in an exceptional position considering who he finds lining up alongside him at linebacker, which happens to be arguably the nation’s best linebacker in Will Anderson.
The former five-star recruit can learn from the best, and that will prove beneficial for the rising sophomore as he continues to find his footing in Nick Saban’s defense.
In his freshman season, Turner logged 30 tackles to go with 8.5 sacks. Those solid numbers from a guy that wasn’t expected to start show that he is already at a good level, but that his potential is sky-high.
According to a list by Bleacher Report, Turner is among those expected to shock the world during the upcoming 2022 college football season.
Tide fans should rejoice in the fact that the Crimson Tide defense will return both Turner, who I can only imagine will improve even more during his sophomore campaign, and Anderson, who arguably should have been invited to New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
