Dakota Ridge product Brandon Miller joins Colorado as preferred walk-on

One of Colorado’s top high school football players from last year is now a Buff

With fall camp nearing, Colorado’s roster features quite a few walk-ons who are talented enough to find success at the Power Five level. Charlie Offerdahl, Kaleb Mathis, Michael Harrison, Chernet Estes, Isreal Solomon and Ben Finneseth are some of the Buffs’ more notable non-scholarship players, but there are others who could find decent playing time in 2023.

On Sunday, the Buffs added another preferred walk-on pledge from Brandon Miller, whose name may sound familiar if you follow Colorado high school football along the Front Range.

As a Dakota Ridge (Littleton) senior last fall, the defensive back was a first-team all-conference pick in the Class 4A Jeffco League after recording 75 total tackles, 13 passes defended and two interceptions. He also earned a CHSAA/MaxPreps All-State honorable mention nod.

Miller, who lists himself at 6-foot and 170 pounds, received his preferred walk-on offer from the Buffs in May.

His highlight film is also worth a watch:
