Dabo Swinney received a text from Bryan Bresee ahead of his Monday night game against the Panthers

Bresee reached out to Swinney before his road matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

Former Clemson defensive tackle Bryan Bresee has enjoyed a successful start to his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints as his team enters Week 3 with a 2-0 record.

Bresee was in Charlotte Monday for the Saints’ Week 2 matchup against the Panthers and reached out to Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney before the game. Swinney got a kick out of his message as Bresee shared how the atmosphere felt like a home game for a former Tiger such as him.

“Bresee actually texted me today (Monday). He sent me a picture,” Swinney said  Monday night. “I guess he was out walking around in the stadium up in Charlotte. He was like, ‘This is a home field advantage for all former Clemson players.’ I got that text from him right before I went out to practice. I got a kick out of that. I am proud of him.”

As a head coach, these have got to be some of the moments Swinney lives for. Bresee was with the program for two ACC Championships in Bank of America Stadium, as Clemson has been a mainstay for the past decade in the ACC Championship.

A cool moment for a former head coach, Swinney leaves a lasting impact on his former players.
