Cubs’ Seiya Suzuki legged out a wild inside-the-park home run and baseball fans were in awe

Welcome back off of the IL, Seiya Suzuki!

Now that’s one way for Seiya Suzuki to make his return back to the Chicago Cubs!

On Monday, rookie outfielder Suzuki was reinstated back onto the Cubs after spending five weeks on the injured list with a sprained left ring finger. And in the ninth inning against the Milwaukee Brewers, Suzuki came up big time for the Cubs.

Tied 1-1 with one out in the ninth, Suzuki smacked the ball out to center field, which took a huge bounce off of the wall and went past Jonathan Davis. By the time Davis caught up with the ball, Suzuki was just about to round third base on his way home.

The throw was off and Suzuki was able to slide in to score a blazing fast inside-the-park home run to give the Cubs a 2-1 lead!

What an incredible bout of base running there! Here’s how the Cubs dugout celebrated that stunning showcase of hitting and athleticism from Suzuki.

Baseball fans also were completely enthralled by Suzuki’s clutch score that helped the Cubs out in a pinch.
