CU men’s basketball set to host charity exhibition against Nebraska

Colorado and Nebraska will hit the hardwood on Oct. 30 for a charity exhibition game

Sports can do a lot of good in the world.

After Colorado visited Nebraska last season for an exhibition that raised funds for Lincoln-area organizations affected by COVID-19, the Huskers are set to visit the CU Events Center on Oct. 30 for another charity exhibition. The ticket proceeds for this year’s game will go directly to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund, which helps survivors and first responders of last December’s Marshall Fires.

Tickets for the 4 p.m. game are $20 for chairback seating and $15 for bench seating.

“While the challenging recovery process continues, our friends and neighbors impacted by the Marshall Fire still need our help,” CU head men’s basketball coach Tad Boyle said in a release. “That’s why I’m proud that we can host this exhibition that will help provide necessary recovery services, and a fun evening of basketball, for so many that are still in need. I encourage our community to come out and show their continued support for this important, and ongoing, recovery effort.”
