Fresh off a Sweet 16 appearance, head coach JR Payne and her staff are getting after it this summer on the recruiting trail.
One of the latest high school prospects to receive a Colorado women’s basketball offer is Carly Amborn, a class of 2025 guard out of California. She’s currently running with Jason Kidd Select and has received a slew of other recent offers from UC Santa Barbara, Washington, Maryland, Tulsa, Utah, San Jose State and Cal. The 6-foot-1 Amborn also took an unofficial visit with the Huskies in late May.
The Buffs’ backcourt is currently in strong shape with Jaylyn Sherrod and Kindyll Wetta returning, but Amborn is a strong candidate to continue Colorado’s recent success at the guard position.
Congrats to 2025 6-1 Guard Carly Amborn who received an offer from @CUBuffsWBB! Keep working hard on and off the court! #jasonkidd #jkidd #jasonkiddselect #jkiddselect #colorado #buffs #pac12 pic.twitter.com/VPJFuwgbSa
