CU Buffs’ fast-tempo offense a perfect fit for Jimmy Horn Jr.

Expect to see a lot of No. 5 this season

Considering its poor offensive results from last season, Colorado needed an infusion of talent on that side of the ball. Enter Jimmy Horn Jr.

Horn came to Boulder in December as a transfer wide receiver by way of the South Florida Bulls. Thus far, the speedy wideout has made a name for himself as a fixture for the Buffaloes’ up-tempo offense under new coordinator Sean Lewis. Horn has been building a strong rapport with new quarterback Shedeur Sanders, leading many to believe that Horn will be a starter this fall.

During CU’s fall sports media day, I asked Horn about his role in the offense and the impact he can make in 2023:

“I love this offense,” Horn said. “It’s a very fast-tempo offense. I can see myself in this offense getting at least about eight touches a game, eight touches or more, and being an impact player for the offense, both me and all the other weapons around me.”
