The Longhorns are starting to gain momentum for the 2023 recruiting cycle.
In the coming days, Texas will be hosting several highly rated prospects from the 2023 class such as five-star quarterback Arch Manning, five-star running back Rueben Owens, and four-star wide receiver Johntay Cook.
Texas is also trending in the right direction on the defensive side of the ball. Four-star defensive lineman Dylan Spencer became the second member of the Longhorns 2023 class last week, and now new a crystal ball prediction has been entered in favor of Texas for four-star defensive lineman Ashton Porter.
Horns247 recruiting editor Hudson Standish entered the crystal ball with high confidence.

Porter is rated the No. 32 defensive lineman in the country for the 2023 class and the No. 35 overall prospect in the state of Texas according to 247Sports.
The Longhorns are gaining momentum at the right time, and if they’re able to come out of the weekend in a stronger position with any of the highly rated prospects on the offensive side of the ball, several commitments could follow and add fuel to the fire.
