Tennessee dropped its second consecutive volleyball match when it fell to Alabama in four sets Friday night in Tuscaloosa.
The Lady Vols captured the first set, only to see the Crimson Tide storm back to claim a 16-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-15 victory.
It was Tennessee’s second straight loss after the Lady Vols fell to Arkansas Sunday and had to settle for a split in Fayetteville.
Tennessee (9-8, 9-8 SEC) and the Crimson Tide (7-12, 7-12 SEC) will conclude their series today at 3 p.m. EDT.
In Friday’s match, Morgahn Fingall had 11 kills, four blocks and one service ace, while Lily Felts finished with 10 kills and served up an ace.
Danielle Mahaffey had nine kills.
Natalie Hayward finished the match with 31 assists and nine digs. Madison Bryant had 18 digs and seven assists.
