The Cowboys couldn’t get a deal done with Dak Prescott before the deadline for a long term extension, and that’s not ideal however there are a number of reasons to believe the future is still bright in Dallas. Prescott is still on the Cowboys with the franchise tag, and a year ago he was the king of the deep ball in the NFL. Throw in CeeDee Lamb and the Cowboys air attack should be one of the tops in the league again in 2020. Connor McGovern certainly has the potential to blossom into a useful starter and fill one of the two possible holes in the offensive line. And that other guy in the backfield, Ezekiel Elliott, he’s still as elite as they come at running back.

Covid-19 has altered the offseason and the early parts of the season like we have never seen before. Roster management will be crucial for teams, and players have less practice time than ever to battle for roster positions.
