Cowboys cupboard not bare at WR behind Cooper, Gallup

Randall Cobb is gone and wasn’t replaced, but does that mean the Cowboys must use a Top-60 pick on a wideout?

Bryant was the special teams only WR that took over Smith’s snaps starting in Week 5.  He was only targeted one time on offense the entire season, but hauled in a 15-yard touchdown catch.

Unfortunately for Bryant, an offseason DWI arrest  may cloud his future with the team either on a short-term (suspension) or long-term basis.

Noah Brown

Brown was Garrett’s run-blocking boo thing for two seasons coming out of Ohio State. The 6-foot-2, 225 pound monster has appeared in 22 games but caught just nine passes. He didn’t perform his best when the spotlight shined on him though there’s still a modicum of hope he might one day blossom into a possession receiver type.

In 2019, Brown missed all of training camp after knee surgery and was on the PUP list, turning into the reserve list and missed the entire season. He’s still on the roster.

Lance Lenoir

A darling of training camps past, the 6-foot, 200-pound Lenoir found himself as part of a numbers crunch in his third NFL season. Unable to perform as a return specialist during consecutive preseasons, a knee injury knocked him out last season before the exhibition season even got going. He was waived injured, but reverted to injured reserve when he went unclaimed, and finds himself back on the Cowboys 90-man offseason roster this year.

Jon’Vea Johnson

Johnson (6-foot, 195 pounds) was a UDFA in last year’s draft class out of Toledo. He was having an impressive offseason but didn’t perform well once things moved to preseason action. A shoulder injury landed him on injured reserve before final cuts, keeping him on the Cowboys roster for this year.

Tevin Jones

Jones has spent time with Kansas City and Pittsburgh and now finds himself on Dallas’ offseason roster.
