Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins had himself a solid 2019 season, throwing for 3,603 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Those numbers aren’t crazy, but Cousins was efficient and led the Vikings to a playoff win.

In the final quarterback rankings for the 2019 season at NFL.com, Cousins ranks tied for eighth along with Matthew Stafford.

Here’s what was written about Cousins’ 2019 season:

If you look past the Divisional Round dud — which certainly wasn’t all his fault — any unbiased critic can surely see Cousins took a giant step toward elite status this season. If only he could throw every pass off play-action, he might be competing with Jimmy G for No. 1 on this list.

For you NFC North fans out there, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers ranked seventh, while Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky ranked tied for 30th.

The Vikings and Cousins have an important offseason ahead of them with Cousins entering the third and final year of his contract with the team.
