Could the Boston Celtics set a record with five All-Stars?

Historical instances, like the 2017-18 Golden State Warriors and 2014-15 Atlanta Hawks have put four players into an All-Star game, but five has yet to be done.

Could the Boston Celtics make history and get five players into the NBA’s 2024 All-Star Game? If you ask the team’s PR department, they certainly think it is on the table, and all five of the Celtics starters turned up in the East fan votes’ first returns.

To wit, the team-produced podcast “View From the Rafters” crew linked up with NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Forsberg to talk about the likelihood and challenges of such a feat for each of the team’s five starters in the mix for an All-Star nod this season. Forsberg emphasizes that while the Celtics starting five deserves consideration, the Eastern Conference is stacked with individual talent, making it challenging to secure multiple All-Star spots.
