Ohio State’s Chris Olave has emerged as a very deadly No. 2 wide receiver, behind teammate Garrett Wilson. He has had a long productive career at Ohio State getting 175 catches for 2,702 yards and adding 35 touchdowns during his tenure. He projects as a high-floor, No. 2 in the NFL who might turn into a No. 1 target at some point in his career. Olave has been a consistent deep threat for various Buckeye’s QBs, catching 32 touchdowns over the past three seasons in just 31 games. He leaves Columbus with a career 15.4 yards-per-reception average.
Starting out as a just three-star recruit and ended up owning the record for most TD receptions (35) in the storied Ohio State history. Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup make a very strong case to be the best starting wide receiver trio in the NFL. Gallup is a free agent with the close of the season, and there are rumors floating about that the Cowboys could move on from Amari Cooper. If they do so will they turn to the NFL Draft as they have in the past? Let’s take a look at a potential target.
