Could Michigan football be getting good news in a few weeks?

Fingers crossed! #GoBlue

Michigan football has lost out on some of its top targets in recruiting over the course of the past month or so, after getting off to a torrid start on the trail. But good news may be coming in the near future if everything holds.

The maize and blue are in good position for 2024 Burley (Idaho) Senior four-star wide receiver Gatlin Bair, the No. 35 player in the country according to 247Sports. The Wolverines appear to be the leader for Bair, who is deemed the fastest player in the country in 2024. While he doesn’t have any 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, there are predictions elsewhere on other sites for Michigan.

Bair announced on Thursday that he’ll be making his college choice on Saturday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. EDT. He is presumed to be between Michigan, Oregon, Boise State, TCU, and Nebraska.

The winner for Bair’s services will have to wait two years, however, as the member of the Latter Day Saints church will be going on a two-year mission before arriving at his school of choice in 2026. Michigan currently has two wide receivers committed in 2024 in Channing Goodwin and I’Marion Stewart, but missed out on Goodwin’s high school classmate, Jordan Shipp, who committed to North Carolina.
