Could ex-Giants coach Ben McAdoo land with the Eagles?

The Philadelphia Eagles could look to former New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo to serve as their offensive coordinator.

Former New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo is ready to get back into coaching and while he has not yet had any official interviews, there are a substantial amount of offensive coordinator positions that need to be filled and he’s drawing some interest.

One such position resides in Philadelphia, where McAdoo had previously drawn interest as a potential head coach.

“Ben McAdoo is out there,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter said during an appearance on 975 The Fanatic’s Farzetta and Tra In The Morning. “The Eagles, at one point in time, were actually interested in hiring him as a head coach. I think he’s ready to come back into the game as an offensive coordinator.”

McAdoo landed the Giants job over the Eagles’ job, which ultimately went to Doug Pederson, who remains in place.

Things did not go well for McAdoo however, lasting just under two seasons with the Giants before being fired alongside general manager Jerry Reese.

Prior to his time as a head coach, McAdoo was a successful quarterbacks coach, but his play calling in East Rutherford left a lot to be desired.
