Contract details for Bills DT Jordan Phillips

Contract details for #Bills DT Jordan Phillips:

Jordan Phillips signed another one-year deal to rejoin  the Buffalo Bills this offseason. Some newest added context shows exactly how much smaller this contract is for him as opposed to the last one he signed.

Initially reported was Phillips signing just for the 2023 season. We already knew that was worth less than the one-year deal he signed a year ago.

In 2022, Phillips was released by the Arizona Cardinals and returned to Buffalo. At that time, he signed a one-year, $5 million contract with the team. Of that, $4.25M was guaranteed.

The Buffalo News has since provided some new information relating to Phillips. Reportedly, just $1.22M of his $3M sum is guaranteed. Another $1.6M can be achieved via incentives.

In his return in 2022, Phillips appeared in Buffalo’s defensive line rotation for 12 games.

Toward the end of the year, Phillips suffered a shoulder injury which eventually required surgery this offseason. When Phillips was on the field, he managed 20 tackles, including three for loss, with 1.5 sacks.
