The Connecticut Sun (2-0) and Indiana Fever (0-3) meet Monday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Sun vs. Fever odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Sun lead 1-0

The Sun spoiled the WNBA debut of Caitlin Clark at Mohegan Sun Arena on May 14, as Connecticut posted a 92-71 win to easily cover as 6.5-point favorites as the Under (166.5) connected.

Clark had a so-so debut, finishing with 20 points and 4 3-pointers, but she hit just 5-of-15 from the field, while turning it over a game-high 10 times. The Fever shot just 48.0% (24-of-50) from the field, while the Sun managed just 48.5% (32-of-66) shooting. However, Connecticut was plus-2 in rebounding margin, plus-5 on steals and Indiana turned it over 25 times to just 15 for the Sun.

Connecticut followed that up with an 84-77 win against Washington, although the Mystics hung on for the cover at most shops as an 8-point underdog. The Over (158) cashed in that game, too.

Sun G Rachel Banham (concussion) will miss Monday’s game due to concussion. She is averaging 5.0 points and 1.0 rebound per game in 2 outings.

The Fever posted their 1st cover of the season in Saturday’s 91-80 loss at New York as a 13-point underdog while the Over (169) cashed. While the Fever remains winless, Clark is doing good things. She is only the 4th player in WNBA history to post at least 50 points and at least 15 assists over her 1st 3 games.

Sun at Fever picks and predictions

Prediction

Sun 86, Fever 73

Moneyline

The Sun (-175) dominated the 1st meeting with the Fever (+145), but this is a little bit too high of a price for a road game, especially the 1st trip of the season for Connecticut. The Sun won by 21 points in the opener with the Fever, but there is still some risk.

PASS, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

The SUN -4.5 (-105) is worth playing in this road game.

Connecticut dominated the 1st meeting, winning by 21 points on a spread of just 6.5 points. The Sun failed to cover last time out as a double-digit favorite, but this spread isn’t much more than the one it covered in the 1st meeting.

The Fever +4.5 (-115) cashed for the 1st time as a double-digit underdog in New York last time out, but Indiana is 0-2 ATS this season as a single-digit ‘dog. Back the Sun.

Over/Under

UNDER 163.5 (-110) is worth playing in the rematch.

The Sun rank No. 1 in the WNBA during the early going with 74.0 PPG allowed. While that’s not much of a sample size, the Sun had the top scoring defense in the WNBA in 2023, too.

The Under has a slight 2-1 edge in the first 3 games for Indiana, and it cashed low in the only previous home game, scoring a season-low 66 points in a blowout loss to New York on Thursday.
