Confident, not confident, skeptical: Michigan football at Indiana

What we’re most confident, least and in-between as Michigan football prepares to take on Indiana on Saturday.

Will the real Michigan football please stand up?

After being thoroughly dominant in Big Ten Week 1 in the win over then-ranked Minnesota, the Wolverines looked absolutely hapless in Week 2 in a loss to still-unranked Michigan State. With No. 13 Indiana on deck, how will the maize and blue fare?

We won’t know until Saturday at noon, and we have a lot of questions to ask about what we’ll see in Bloomington. Will Michigan be fully healthy — as there are questions about the offensive line in particular? Will Don Brown find a way to adjust the scheme to allow for more success in the secondary? Will the running game get going again? What about the defensive front, can it get pressure on Indiana QB Michael Penix Jr.? Will the offensive playcalling put Joe Milton & Co. in a position to succeed unlike last week?

So many questions, but we take a few and look at what we’re confident in, what we’re not and where we’re skeptical heading into Week 3’s contest against the Hoosiers.
