The Washington Commanders improved to 5-2 on Sunday with a 40-7 win over the Carolina Panthers from Northwest Stadium.

Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels left the game with a rib injury in the first quarter. Marcus Mariota replaced him, completing 18 of 23 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for 71 yards and scored a touchdown in his return.

The Commanders’ defense held the Panthers 180 and forced two turnovers.
