Colts waive TE Ross Travis

Colts waive Ross Travis.

The Indianapolis Colts waived tight end Ross Travis from the active roster, the team announced Friday.

Likely to make room for an additional player in the secondary due to injuries, Travis gets waived after playing in just three games and making one start with the Colts. He played 23 snaps over that span.

Travis recorded four catches for 51 yards during his time with the Colts this season. He played four games with the Colts in 2017 and spent the 2018 season on the injured reserve list after tearing his ACL in the preseason.

Entering the regular-season finale, the tight end room now is composed of just Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox.
