Colts vs. Titans betting guide and predictions: The best bets for Thursday Night Football

You betting guide to Week 10’s Thursday Night Football matchup between the Colts and Titans.

If you’re looking to bet on the Colts vs. Titans game and need to do some last-minute research, you’re in luck! We’ve put together this handy betting guide, which includes the point spread, moneyline and over-under, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.

The game kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET and can be seen on FOX and the NFL Network. The weather forecast for Nashville tonight is calling for a kickoff temperature of 52 degrees, clear skies and winds under 5 mpg so weather will not be a factor.

The Titans (6-2) were one of the NFL’s last unbeaten teams before a game against the Steelers, but lost back-to-back games, including a stunner against the Bengals. Last week, the Titans beat the Bears, 24-17.

The Colts (5-3) are coming off a 24-10 loss that put a serious dent in their playoff chances, and would fall two games behind the Titans in the AFC South on Thursday with a loss.

The lines, courtesy of BetMGM

  • Money line: Colts -112 / Titans -106
  • Over-under: 48.5

What you need to know:

  • According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Titans are favored with a 56.2% chance to win, while the Colts have a 43.5% chance to win.
  • Per Action Network’s public betting info, the public is leaning toward the Titans, with 57% of tickets and 56% of money on Tennessee.
  • For the total, the public is on the over, with 58% of bets and 65% of money on over 48.5.
  • Injury report: The Colts are shorthanded at tight end, with Jack Doyle out and Mo Alie-Cox questionable. The Titans will be missing a pair of players in the secondary – Adoree’ Jackson and Dane Cruikshank – along with tight end MyCole Pruitt and wide receiver Adam Humphries.

Advice

This line opened with the Titans as favorites, but has slid to the Titans getting points at home. This is going to be a close, hard-fought divisional game with a lot on the line for both teams, and I feel more confident about betting props this week than either the spread or the total. That being said, I’m leaning toward taking a point at home with the Titans +1.

The public is heavy on the over here, but the Colts have a defense that should trouble Ryan Tannehill, and on the other side there’s no better team in the NFL at taking the ball away than the Titans. I’d avoid a bet on the over/under.

Props:

Colts -0.5 first half (+105)

The Colts are a good first-half team. They’ve scored the majority of their points in the first half in five of eight games, and they’ve outscored their opponents in the first half in six of eight games (including last week’s loss to the Ravens). The Titans, meanwhile, have scored the majority of their points in the first half twice all season, with two additional games that were an even split between the first and second halves.

Philip Rivers over 0.5 interceptions (+134)

Rivers has picks in five of eight games and a total of seven on the year, while the Titans are fifth in the league with nine interceptions.
