Colts vs. Texans finale in Week 18 set for prime-time slot

A prime-time stage for a win-and-in matchup.

The Indianapolis Colts (9-7) and Houston Texans (9-7) will face off in a win-and-in matchup for a playoff spot in Week 18 at Lucas Oil Stadium, and now we know when that crucial game will take place.

This divisional matchup is now set for the 8:15 p.m. ET prime-time slot on Saturday, Jan. 6. Considering the heavy playoff implications of the outcome, it’s no surprise the league chose this game for the prime-time slot on Saturday.

For both teams, this is a win-and-in scenario. The winner of this game will be guaranteed at least a spot as a wild-card team.

Depending on the outcome of the matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans, the winner could also sit as high as the No. 4 seed as the division winner. That can only happen if the Jaguars lose to the Titans.

However, neither the Colts nor the Texans will know about that outcome until the following day.

These two teams match up pretty evenly so this should be a fight right until the end, and it should make for some quality viewing in prime time.
