Colts’ Tyquan Lewis suffered season-ending knee injury

Tyquan Lewis will miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

Indianapolis Colts defensive end Tyquan Lewis will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a season-ending knee injury during the 17-16 loss against the Washington Commanders in Week 8.

Lewis was carted off the field late in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be a significant injury. Head coach Frank Reich confirmed Monday that it was the same injury he suffered in 2021—a torn patellar tendon—but in the opposite knee.

It was around this time last year when Lewis suffered a torn patellar tendon in his other knee. He had been coming along as a solid pass rusher off the edge. Through eight games, Lewis had 1.0 sack, four quarterback hits and two tackles for loss.

Lewis signed a one-year deal with the Colts during the 2022 offseason so he will be a free agent following the conclusion of the campaign.
