Colts’ T.Y. Hilton (calf) still week to week

Ghost is still week to week.

The Indianapolis Colts offense has been without wide receiver T.Y. Hilton for the majority of the second half, and it is looking like it will continue that way for now.

The Colts get a long week given the Monday night matchup with the New Orleans Saints (10-3) in Week 15, but there wasn’t much reassurance that Hilton will be ready anytime soon.

Head coach Frank Reich joined the Indy media on a conference call on Monday and confirmed that Hilton is still week to week with the calf injury.

“No, we are still week-to-week with T.Y. (Hilton) at this point,” said Reich.

With just three games remaining and the Colts’ postseason hopes all but done, week to week means there’s a high chance Hilton doesn’t get back to the field at all in December.

At this time of year, any injury that might have a timetable of a month for recovery will send a player to the injured reserve list.

Hilton’s season has been marred by injuries. Maybe it’s a fluke thing. Maybe it’s because he’s 30 years old and the years of physical toll are finally breaking his body.

Regardless, it has been a rough season for the Ghost as he’s battled several ailments throughout the season. From a groin issue to this lingering calf injury, Hilton’s chances of returning this season are extremely slim.
