The Indianapolis Colts have some big needs to fill and while some of them can be accomplished during free agency, we know how highly the front office values the NFL draft.
In a three-round mock draft from Draft Wire, the Colts only have two picks after trading the third-rounder to the Eagles in the Carson Wentz trade. At No. 21 overall, the Colts went with former Michigan offensive tackle Jalen Mayfield. In the second round, they added to the edge taking Patrick Jones out of Pitt.
Adding to the offensive line will be a necessity for the Colts this offseason. They have to replace Anthony Castonzo at left tackle, who was official placed on the retired list.
They can do so during free agency in the cheap route or go with a young prospect in the draft.
The Colts must also add to the edge. There are many intriguing options in free agency but adding a high-upside prospect in the draft is on the docket as well. In 11 games in 2020, Jones recorded 12.5 tackles for loss and 9.0 sacks.
There are still a few months until the draft, but mocks will still be extremely popular as we try to figure out who will be best fits for the Colts.
