The Indianapolis Colts and running back Marlon Mack are reportedly looking to find a trade partner, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
With second-year back Jonathan Taylor working as the bellcow and Nyheim Hines as the change-of-pace back, there hasn’t been much room for Mack to see playing time in the backfield.
The #Colts and RB Marlon Mack have agreed to mutually seek a trade, per sources. Mack is fully healthy after last year’s Achilles tear. But Jonathan Taylor as the bell cow and Nyheim Hines recently extended, Mack is hoping for opportunities elsewhere.

A source confirms @TomPelissero report that Marlon Mack and the Colts have agreed to try to find a trade for the running back, who has played just 13 snaps in the first three weeks.

Though nothing appears imminent on the trade front, it makes sense that the Colts would agree to trade Mack. He’s played just 13 snaps through the first three weeks of the season and was a healthy scratch in Week 3.
Mack re-signed with the Colts this offseason on a one-year deal despite coming off a torn Achilles that kept him out for all of the 2020 season.
It will be interesting to see what unfolds here and even though the compensation may not be great, this will be something to keep an eye on.
