The Indianapolis Colts have a lot of work to do this offseason before they can rightfully be considered a contender for Super Bowl LVI but the oddsmakers are already looking forward to the big game a year from now.
While general manager Chris Ballard doesn’t believe the current state of the roster deems them Super Bowl worthy, this offseason can change a lot of things. Free agency and the 2021 NFL draft are still yet to take place and could help shift the tide for the Colts in some manner of speaking.
As it stands, BetMGM has the Colts holding 25/1 odds to win Super Bowl LVI, which is tied for 10th-highest with four other teams.
The Colts are far away from being considered serous contenders until the quarterback situation is resolved. Where they will go with that remains to be seen, but they certainly have their options.
With an abundance of salary cap space and the No. 21 overall pick, the Colts should be in the market for some big additions this offseason. They are close to being a perennial playoff team but so much is uncertain because of the question marks at the quarterback position.
We will see what the offseason has in store for the Colts, who are hoping to compete for the AFC South title in 2021.
