Colts free agent target Marquez Valdes-Scantling to sign with Chiefs

The Colts had interest in free agent WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who is expected to sign with the Chiefs.

The Indianapolis Colts had interest in free agent wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, but he is now expected to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs, first reported by Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

After trading for quarterback Matt Ryan, the Colts are in the market to add some weaponry to the offense in order to help ease the transition for the 36-year-old quarterback.

Valdes-Scantling was one of those options but now he heads to the Chiefs after they traded away Tyreek Hill on Wednesday.

The options are thinning for the Colts in free agency but there are still potential targets like Julio Jones, A.J. Green and Odell Beckham Jr., to name a few, as complements to Michael Pittman.
