Colts’ Danny Pinter carted off field with ankle injury

Danny Pinter is not expected to return after being carted off due to an ankle injury.

Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Danny Pinter suffered an ankle injury and was carted off the field during the preseason finale against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

Pinter was carted to the locker room after the entire Colts sideline came out to the field to support him when he was put on the cart. Pinter’s leg was rolled up on during a block on the first offensive play of the second half.

He was ruled out for the remainder of the game shortly after leaving the field.

Though the injury looked painful, hopefully, it’s not a serious injury. The Colts are dealing with some big injuries to the offensive line already with starting center Ryan Kelly (foot) and projected right guard Will Fries (calf) both being held out of the preseason finale.

Pinter, who got the start at center, will likely be replaced by Wesley French and Dakoda Shepley.
