While the Indianapolis Colts zero in on Shane Steichen as their next head coach, their current offensive line coach Chris Strausser is reportedly a leading candidate for the same role with the Houston Texans.
As Texans new head coach DeMeco Ryans puts together his staff in Houston, it appears Strausser has become the favorite for the offensive line coach job after it was made known veteran coach George Warhop won’t be retained.
Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston reported that Strausser is a leading candidate for the role.
Strausser joined the Colts coaching staff during the 2019 offseason as the offensive line coach and has held the role for four seasons since the team parted ways with former offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo.
It’s unlikely that Strausser would be retained with a new head coach coming in but it appears he may be staying in the division as a favorite for the job with Houston.
